Internetwork connectivity devices such as routers can use Newtwork,Address,Information to asist the efficiant delivery of messages. Delivery package according to logical Network address information is called Routing. The common feature that unites internetwork connectivity devices [Routers and Brouters] is that these device can perform routing. Routers come in two general type,
1]Static Routers:-
These Router do not determine paths. Instead you must configure the routing table,specifine,potantial Routers fro packets.
2]Dynamic Routers:-
These Routers have the capability to determine Routers based on-packets informationn and information obtained from others routers.
To determine to best path,for a packet,routers employ some form of routing algorithm.
